Background

Timeshare is the online timesheet and status report management system for your ITC307 development projects. This system is to be used on a regular basis by all project managers and team members to record their project status and contributions made to their project over the length of the subject.

Before using the system students will have been assigned or chosen a username, a password, and a project. Using any modern web browser on an internet connected computer, go to the following address to access TimeShare:

http://peacocktech.com:8080/timeshare

This brings up the login screen to TimeShare. Image:Login.png

Entering your assigned username and password into the associated text boxes, then pressing login will give you access to your individual home page.

Users with different roles are granted access to different areas within the system. As a project team member you have access to your individual timesheets, but the project manager also has access to your teamâ??s status reports.

Editing Timesheets

In TimeShare, each timesheet refers to a 2-week long collection of records that describe individual tasks performed by yourself, that relate to completing your project. Each record in a timesheet contains a date, start time, end time, task, and description.

An un-submitted timesheet list will appear on your home page showing all editable timesheets for you to add your task work details into. Selecting the edit link next to the relevant timesheet will bring up a new screen where the details can be added.

Enter the details of the task you have completed into the appropriate areas, and then click â??addâ??. If the details are valid they will be added to that timesheet. Continue this process of adding items after each contribution you make to the project. If a mistake is made, each entry can be deleted or edited where appropriate then updated to display the correct data.

The timesheet should be submitted after all of your work for the fortnight has been recorded, and before the due date. Timesheets can be submitted after the due date but will be recorded as late
